Steady steps on your legs
Entering the second working day (September 26), the Mekong Delta OCOP Product Connection Forum continues its series of activities with the Conference on Connecting OCOP Products with the Commercial System. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment (MONRE) Tran Thanh Nam; Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc; Vice Principal of Tran Minh Hai School of Public Policy and Rural Development chaired and chaired the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Paul Le - Vice President of Central Retail Group, GO supermarket system - after feeling the quality, took responsibility for finding a way to bring OCOP products to supermarkets in France. In the near future, it may be Phu Quoc fish sauce. This is a positive sign for the future step of the OCOP product.
Accelerating sustainable development
At the conference, in addition to suggesting technical updated content, experts, managers... highly appreciated the efforts of both the product owner and the distributor and consumer forces. To have 70% of output meet export standards, each member takes care of trees and fruits such as eggants and flower pickings, Mr. Tran Minh Hai - Vice Principal of the School of Public Policy and Rural Development - praised the Hamcom Com Cooperative in Vinh Long.
Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam admired the determination to protect the reputation of Tu Le sticky rice cooperative (Yen Bai). The total planting area is only about 200 hectares, not enough to sell, but when it is suggested to expand, it is certain to say no to avoid the possibility that soil conditions do not ensure product quality, affecting customer trust.
Meanwhile, the force playing the role of distributing OCOP products is also very flexible and creative. Not only boldly investing in solemn areas, Tu Son Supermarket (Chau Doc, An Giang) also creates a mobile supermarket model, bringing OCOP products to trucks to transport goods to many rural areas to sell to special customers: the elderly, people busy. Director Ta Minh Son said that the average total sales per trip (2-3 days) is about 300 million, even 500 million VND.
However, many delegates expressed concern that this advantage will be a double-edged sword, if there are no control measures, there will be many difficulties in dishonesty and the consequences will be that OCOP products lose the trust of customers. A worm can make a pot of stewed pork sauce. Therefore, I strongly agree with the proposed opinions to establish an Association to strengthen internal control and be a focal point for protection, exchange and connection", Mr. Nam shared and suggested that An Giang should promote the pilot establishment of an Association for OCOP product subjects to draw experience to deploy nationwide. Hopefully, these steps will help OCOP products reach far, fly high...
