On September 16, Nha Trang University in collaboration with the International Knowledge Management Institute (Sri Lanka) organized the 12th International Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture (ICFA) in 2025 with the theme " applying the food system approach: Towards comprehensively exploiting the potential of fisheries and aquaculture".
At the event, delegates focused on discussing major challenges for the current aquaculture and aquaculture industry such as the impact of climate change, decline in natural resources, while the demand for food security and sustainable development is increasing.
This is not just a national problem but a global common concern, requiring breakthrough solutions, new approaches and a spirit of international cooperation.
Experts shared many important contents such as: application of technology in aquaculture; management of aquatic products using digital technology; enhancing value chains; industry development policies; recommendations for sustainable seafood; resilience to climate change; linking industry growth with Vietnam's sustainable development goals.
The workshop is a forum to connect scientists, experts and global policymakers, expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation between localities and the world, and promote initiatives and solutions to develop the seafood industry in a sustainable direction.
