The project is implemented by Meiko Yen Quang Electronics Co., Ltd. at plot CN-1.3, Yen Quang Industrial Park, Thinh Minh commune, with a land use area of more than 80,000m2 and a total investment of 13,193 billion VND.
The project's objective is to produce, manufacture, process, and assemble electronic, optoelectronic, and microchip components to serve the development of new generation smart devices such as peripherals, mobile phones, computers, specialized digital cameras, new generation camera modules, smart terminals, microprocessor chips and controllers.
This is the 6th factory of Meiko Group in Vietnam, raising the total investment capital of this enterprise in Vietnam to more than 2 billion USD. The project continues to affirm investors' confidence in the investment environment and development potential of Vietnam in general, and Phu Tho province in particular.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung highly appreciated the efforts of Phu Tho province in improving the investment environment, proactively accompanying businesses and attracting high-tech industrial projects.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the project is of great significance in the strategy of developing Vietnam's electronics industry, semiconductor industry and high-tech industry; contributing to improving production capacity, deeper participation in the global electronics supply chain, while creating more jobs and promoting local socio-economic development.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Phu Tho province to continue to promote the spirit of creation, accompanying businesses; focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, accelerating the progress of resolving related procedures, ensuring the most favorable conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule, safely and effectively.
At the same time, the investor needs to mobilize maximum resources, organize construction to ensure progress, quality, safety, and efficiency; apply modern technology; strictly comply with the provisions of Vietnamese law, especially regulations on construction, environment, labor, fire prevention and fighting; strengthen technology transfer and high-quality human resource training.
At the ceremony, delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the project. The event marked the important start of a modern high-tech project, which is expected to create more jobs, promote economic growth, enhance industrial production value and make positive contributions to the sustainable development goals of Phu Tho province.
