In a working session with the Central Working Group led by Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on May 4, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that in the current development strategy, the former Binh Thuan province area is identified as the main driving force for growth.
In which, the core is the Project to establish the Southern Coastal Economic Zone and dynamic projects in the coastal area.
The coastal area of Lam Dong province (including along DT. 706B, Bung Thi - Ta Bau and Hoa Thang routes) currently has 19 dynamic investment projects, with a total area of more than 22,000ha. Many strategic investors are interested in researching, surveying and promoting implementation.

According to the orientation, the Southern Coastal Economic Zone will be established with a scale of about 75,000ha, spreading over 6 wards and communes, possessing advantages in geographical location, land fund and infrastructure connectivity.
This is considered the foundation for forming a large-scale industrial - energy - logistics center in the Southern region.
The process of deploying the development of the Project to establish the Southern Coastal Economic Zone of the province has so far shaped a system of 12 industrial parks, 11 industrial clusters, seaport - logistics areas in Son My, along with Son My Power Center and service urban areas in La Gi, Ham Tan.
This is a long-term development structure, aimed at building a large-scale industrial - energy - logistics center of the Southern region.
The area expected to establish an economic zone has been and is strongly attracting investment projects. Currently, there are about 210 projects, of which 128 projects have been put into operation.

In the working session with leaders of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court highly appreciated the province's vision.
Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Van Quang emphasized that Lam Dong Coastal Economic Zone must create a clear difference compared to economic zones in 2 neighboring cities, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, to attract strategic investors.
According to Mr. Quang, the difference that needs to be focused on is the formation of an energy center. This is not only a competitive advantage but also a foundation for the locality to propose upgrading seaports.
The energy factor is considered the key factor determining the competitiveness of the coastal economic zone of the province.

In addition, to create attraction, the province must invest in synchronous infrastructure, accompanied by planning and policies. This will be the foundation for the Lam Dong coastal economic zone not only to develop, but also to create its own mark in regional competition.
Regarding coastal dynamic projects, Mr. Quang said that the potential is clear, but the important thing is to have a unified master plan.
On that basis, the province selects potential investors, avoiding the situation of fragmenting planning. It is necessary to shape each ecosystem suitable to the actual conditions of the locality.
