Mi Hong, Bao Tin Manh Hai, PNJ gold shops are still crowded with customers after the inspection conclusion
After the inspection conclusion, at two Mi Hong stores at 306 and 312 Bui Huu Nghia (HCMC), gold trading activities were quite bustling, with about 5-6 customers waiting for transactions each time. The buying force was recorded to be still higher than the selling force.
At some PNJ stores on Hai Ba Trung, Nguyen Van Troi, An Duong Vuong and Bao Tin Manh Hai on Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Nguyen Trai streets, transaction demand generally did not fluctuate significantly.
Some customers said they had read information about the inspection conclusion but still came to transact as planned. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (Binh Thanh ward) said she bought gold to accumulate when prices slightly decreased.

150,000 electric vehicle charging port network nationwide, Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes standards
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced the draft National Technical Regulation on charging poles and electric vehicle charging stations to establish minimum and unified safety and quality requirements for charging infrastructure.
Expected standards applied to chargers and charging stations are installed in many locations such as parking lots, basements, shopping centers, gas stations, industrial parks, residential areas and public service points.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the rapid development of the electric vehicle market leads to the need to expand the charging infrastructure. In 2023, Vietnam consumed 15,676 pure electric vehicles; in the first 6 months of 2024 alone, it reached 17,536 vehicles. Charging systems have also developed diversely with many models, in which a large network has about 150,000 charging ports with a capacity of up to 360 kW nationwide. Experts recommend amending the calculation method to avoid "tax jump
The Ministry of Finance is seeking opinions on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on tax policies for households, individual businesses and enterprises.
In the process of contributing opinions on tax policies for business households, Ms. Le Yen - Director of Hanoi Tax Consulting Co., Ltd. (Hanoitax) - proposed expanding the threshold for applying the direct tax calculation method on revenue, in order to be more suitable for the scale and management capacity of small business households.
According to Ms. Yen, the current tax calculation method can create a major "tax jump" when revenue just exceeds 1 billion VND. For example, service business households with revenue of 1.01 billion VND may incur 50.7 million VND in tax, even if revenue only increases by 10 million VND compared to the tax exemption threshold.
Experts believe that this mechanism can create motivation to hide or divide revenue, and at the same time make business households hesitant to expand their scale. See more...
Dien Bien aims to sell carbon credits, taking advantage of 434,600 hectares of forest
Dien Bien has about 326,000 hectares of forest, equivalent to 75% of the forest area, which is in a state of poverty and depletion. This is both a challenge in improving forest quality and opening up great room for recovery, increasing carbon absorption and storage capacity.
