Proposal for income of 28 million VND/month not to be taxed, people with young children reduce pressure
The Ministry of Finance proposes that taxpayers be allowed to deduct additional medical and educational expenses before calculating personal income tax. According to the draft, medical examination and treatment expenses are reduced by a maximum of 23 million VND/year, while education and training expenses are reduced by a maximum of 24 million VND/year for taxpayers and dependents.

According to calculations by the drafting agency, for people with 1 dependent, after deducting insurance, family deductions and maximum medical and educational expenses, an income of about 28 million VND/month is still not subject to tax. Only when the income exceeds about 28.63 million VND/month will the 5% tax rate begin to arise.
Many workers in Hanoi believe that this proposal is suitable for the reality that the cost of raising children, studying and healthcare is increasing. However, many opinions are concerned that the procedures to prove the cost may be complicated, and at the same time believe that the maximum deduction for education is still quite low compared to the actual cost in major cities. Gold prices cool down, some take advantage of buying, some hesitate to sell
Domestic gold prices on May 23 continued to decrease, causing the number of customers coming to trade at Tran Nhan Tong gold street (Hanoi) to decrease compared to previous price fevers. The market recorded mixed sentiment when many people took advantage of buying gold rings to accumulate, while some people holding gold are still hesitant to sell.

Many customers said they took advantage of buying more gold rings when prices fell sharply compared to last week. Stores currently sell according to customer demand and return gold immediately, transactions take place quickly, no longer the scene of long queues as before. Most buyers choose to buy small quantities to accumulate for the long term and limit risks.
In the opposite direction, some people who bought gold before still do not want to sell even though they are making a slight profit. Many customers believe that gold prices may recover in the near future, so they should continue to monitor the market before deciding to take profits. See more...
