Bank interest rates today 10.9: 12-month term highest 10%

A survey of interest rates of more than 30 banks shows that some banks still maintain special interest rate programs for customers with very large deposits for terms from 12 months.

In the group of banks listing the highest interest rates in the market, PVcomBank leads with an interest rate of 10%/year for 12-13 month term deposits, receiving interest at the end of the term. However, this interest rate is only applied to customers who deposit money at the counter with amounts from 2,000 billion VND or more.

Under normal conditions, the interest rate for a 12-month term, receiving interest at the end of the term at PVcomBank is 5.3%/year.

Next is MSB with an interest rate of 9%/year for 12- or 13-month term deposits. The applicable condition is that the newly opened or opened savings book from January 1, 2018 is automatically renewed, and has a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.

Cake by VPBank currently lists the interest rate for late-term deposits at 7.2%/year for terms from 6-9 months. If choosing to receive interest at the beginning of the term, monthly or quarterly, the interest rates are 6.78%/year, 7.02%/year and 7.09%/year respectively.

For terms from 10-24 months, the end-of-term interest rate is applied at 7.4%/year.

Notably, from September 1st to the end of September 30th, 2026, Cake by VPBank implements an additional 2%/year program for first-time depositors, with amounts from 100,000 VND, terms from 6-12 months and no pre-term settlement. Incentives apply to standard deposits and accumulated deposits on the CAKE BANK application.

Thus, after adding incentives, the interest rate for deposits with terms from 6-9 months can be up to 9.2%/year.

For customers who do not deposit for the first time, Cake by VPBank also applies an additional 2%/year when depositing from 5 million VND, term from 6-24 months. The remaining conditions are similar to the program for first-time depositors.

Accordingly, with the listed interest rate of 7.4%/year for terms from 10-24 months, the post-preferential interest rate can be up to 9.4%/year.

VPBank recently announced a preferential interest rate program with attractive additions, a program for VPBank Prime members.

In which, the bank also applies an additional policy of up to 2.5%/year for deposits from 1 million VND to 300 million VND, term from 1-24 months. The program lasts from June 15, 2026 to the end of December 31, 2026.

However, to enjoy this additional amount, customers must be on the list of eligible customers determined by VPBank.

If conditions are met, with an additional rate of up to 2.5%/year, the actual deposit interest rate at VPBank can be up to 4.75%/year for terms of 1-5 months; 8.7%/year for terms of 6-13 months and 8.5%/year for terms of 15-24 months.

HDBank applies a special interest rate of 7.2%/year for a 12-month term and 7.6%/year for a 13-month term for customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more, receiving interest at the end of the term.
