Bank interest rates today August 21st: 12-month term highest 10%

A survey of interest rates of more than 30 banks shows that some banks still maintain special interest rate programs for customers with very large deposits for terms from 12 months.

In the group of banks listing the highest interest rates in the market, PVcomBank leads with an interest rate of 10%/year for 12-13 month term deposits, receiving interest at the end of the term. However, this interest rate is only applied to customers depositing at the counter with amounts from 2,000 billion VND or more.

Under normal conditions, the interest rate for a 12-month term, receiving interest at the end of the term at PVcomBank is 5.3%/year.

Next is MSB with an interest rate of 9%/year for 12- or 13-month term deposits. The applicable condition is that the newly opened or opened savings book from January 1, 2018 is automatically renewed, and has a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.

Cake by VPBank is listing end-of-term interest deposit interest rates for terms of 6-9 months at 7.2%/year. If you choose the form of receiving interest at the beginning of the term, receiving interest monthly or quarterly, customers will enjoy interest rates of 6.78%/year, 7.02%/year and 7.09%/year respectively.

For terms from 10-24 months, Cake by VPBank applies an interest rate of 7.4%/year.

Notably, the bank is implementing a preferential program adding 2%/year for customers who deposit savings for the first time from 100,000 VND, applied to terms from 6-12 months on the CAKE BANK application. The program takes place from August 1 to the end of August 31, 2026. This preferential rate has increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month.

Thus, after adding incentives, the actual interest rate received at Cake by VPBank for some deposits from 10-24 months can be up to 9.4%/year.

Previously, in July, the additional interest rate for customers depositing money for the first time at this bank was 1.8%/year.

At Nam A Bank, customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more for a 24-month term can enjoy interest rates up to 8.3%/year - belonging to the group of the highest deposit interest rates currently available. For deposits of the same value for a 36-month term, receiving interest at the end of the term, the applied interest rate is 8.1%/year after the General Director's approval.

HDBank applies a special interest rate of 7.2%/year for a 12-month term and 7.6%/year for a 13-month term for customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more, receiving interest at the end of the term.
