A survey of interest rate tables of more than 30 banks shows that the general deposit interest rate level in the market fluctuates around 4-6.5%/year, some banks still maintain special interest rate programs for customers with very large deposits.
In the group of banks listing the highest interest rates in the market, PVcomBank leads with an interest rate of 10%/year for 12-13 month term deposits, receiving interest at the end of the term. However, this interest rate is only applied to customers who deposit money at the counter with amounts from 2,000 billion VND or more.
Next is MSB with an interest rate of 9%/year for 12- or 13-month term deposits. The applicable condition is a newly opened or automatically renewed savings book from January 1, 2018, and a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.
At Nam A Bank, customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more for a 24-month term can enjoy interest rates up to 8.3%/year - belonging to the group of the highest deposit interest rates currently available. For deposits of the same value for a 36-month term, receiving interest at the end of the term, the applied interest rate is 8.1%/year after the General Director's approval.
Vikki Bank also listed high interest rates, reaching 7.9%/year for deposits from 999 billion VND or more, term of 13 months, interest paid at the end of the term. This interest rate is calculated by the listed interest rate plus a margin of 1.8 percentage points and does not apply simultaneously to other promotional programs.
Saigonbank lists interest rates at 7.9%/year for online savings products, term of 13 months. This is the highest savings interest rate in Saigonbank's listings, and also the highest listed deposit interest rate on the market today.
Similarly, HDBank applies a special interest rate of 7.2%/year for a 12-month term and 7.6%/year for a 13-month term for customers depositing from 500 billion VND or more, receiving interest at the end of the term.
