Similarly, Mr. Dang Toan (resident of An Khanh ward) also came to Ngoc Tam gold shop (38 An Duong Vuong, An Dong ward) to resell the diamonds he had traded before but could not do so. The store was closed, with a notice posted outside that it would temporarily suspend operations for 2 weeks.
I heard information that the store was closed, so I still hoped it would only be a temporary break for a few days. When I arrived, I knew that no one was entertaining guests, and there was no specific information when it would reopen, so I had to bring the diamonds back" - Mr. Toan shared.



Lao Dong Newspaper's records show that on An Duong Vuong street, An Dong ward, not only Kim Ly and Ngoc Tam gold shops but also some other gold, silver, and gemstone business stores are also in a state of closed doors.

Meanwhile, two branches of Ngoc Chau Au gold shop at 83 Ly Thuong Kiet, Tan Hoa ward and 744A Tran Hung Dao, Cho Quan ward also temporarily suspended operations, leaving only security guards to watch over. According to the company's announcement, the stores will close from July 11 to the end of July 24 to review and consolidate internal work, upgrade operating systems and complete processes to improve service quality before resuming operations. The company said it will record and handle issues arising during the temporary suspension period after reopening from July 25.


Previously, the Ministry of Public Security informed that continuing to expand the special case to fight against the transnational diamond smuggling ring, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police has prosecuted 4 more defendants for the crime of "smuggling" including: Le Thi Ngoc My (born in 1960) is the owner of Kim Ly gold shop; Nguyen Thi Lien (born in 1980) is the owner of Ngoc Tam gold shop; Hoang Thi Thanh Nga (born in 1980) is the owner of Ngoc Chau Au gold shop; Tran Tien Nhu Nghi (born in 1987, both residing in Ho Chi Minh City) is an inspection staff of PNJ One Member Limited Liability Appraisal Company (PNJ-LAP). All 4 subjects were prosecuted to investigate the act of "Smuggling".
