At the ceremony, Ms. Bui Thu Oanh, Head of the Member Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Banking Association, announced the Decision of the Association Council on admitting MobiFone Digital Payment Joint Stock Company as an official member. Accordingly, MDP fully enjoys the rights and obligations of an official member according to the Association's Charter.

Speaking at the Admission Ceremony, Dr. Dao Minh Tu, Vice President cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Banking Association, congratulated MDP on becoming a new member of the Association, and said that MDP's participation in the Association will create more opportunities for connection, experience sharing and searching for cooperation opportunities in the field of digital payments and FinTech.
According to Dr. Dao Minh Tu, one of the important roles of the Association is to link and create common strength between commercial banks, financial institutions, FinTech companies and units operating in related fields. This is also a forum for members to share information, experience and coordinate in professional activities.
The Association is not only a place to connect members but also a place to share experiences, contribute opinions to build policies and create common strength for the development of the financial ecosystem," Dr. Dao Minh Tu emphasized.

Dr. Dao Minh Tu expects MDP, with its activities in the field of digital technology and digital payments, to become an active member of the Association, especially in activities related to payments and FinTech, in the context of non-cash payments continuing to develop.
Mr. Phan Thanh Son, General Director of MDP, shared: "Becoming a member of the Vietnam Banking Association is not only an important milestone for MDP, but also an opportunity for us to connect more deeply with the banking community, listen to the market and make more practical contributions to the overall development of Vietnam's payment industry.
MDP identifies its role as building and developing a safe and modern payment infrastructure, capable of connecting and meeting the increasingly diverse needs of banks, businesses and people. We are committed to fully complying with legal regulations, proactively cooperating, sharing capabilities and experiences, and actively participating in joint initiatives with the Association and its members.
We believe that the development of payment infrastructure cannot be created by a single organization, but requires the connection, cooperation and companionship of the entire ecosystem. MDP wishes to join the Association and its members in contributing to building a safer, more convenient and modern payment ecosystem in Vietnam.

MDP is licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam to provide intermediary payment services No. 89/GP-NHNN dated November 27, 2025, with four groups of services including financial switching, electronic clearing, electronic payment gateways and collection and payment support. This is the basis for MDP to participate in developing and operating important components of the payment infrastructure, aiming to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the market.
After officially launching in the market on March 27, 2026, MDP is gradually expanding connections with banks and organizations in the payment ecosystem. To date, MDP has signed connection contracts with 23 units, of which 14 units have completed connections and generated transactions, and is expected to complete connections with all signed units in 2026.
Becoming a VNBA member creates an additional basis for MDP to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the banking community; share experiences in connecting, operating and managing payment infrastructure; and participate in joint initiatives on payment safety and security, fraud prevention and promotion of non-cash payments.
