On July 12, information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province said that within the framework of the program "Returning to the Source - Journey of Gratitude", the working delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam presented 10 billion VND to Nghe An province.
The funding is used to support social security work, care for people with meritorious services and implement gratitude activities in the province.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 11, towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the working delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam organized the program "Returning to the Source - Journey of Gratitude" in Nghe An.
The working delegation was led by Mr. Pham Duc An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam - as head of the delegation.
Participating in the program were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam; leaders of affiliated units; State Bank branch in region 8, region 9 and representatives of commercial banks and state-owned enterprises managed by the State Bank.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Phung Thanh Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - along with representatives of relevant departments and agencies.
During the program, the working delegation came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs' Cemetery and Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site.
The delegation also offered incense at Chung Son Temple, the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh belonging to the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site.
At the destinations, delegates spent a minute of silence, expressing gratitude to the heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services who sacrificed and contributed to the cause of fighting for independence and protecting the Fatherland.
On the evening of July 11, the working delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam presented 10 billion VND to support Nghe An province in implementing social security and gratitude programs.
The activity aims to contribute to caring for the lives of people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs and families in difficult circumstances, and at the same time spread the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source".
