The event was attended by representatives of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security, along with representatives of financial institutions, banks, technology businesses and partners in the digital financial ecosystem at home and abroad. The participation and cooperation of a large number of partners and financial institutions has affirmed confidence in the deployment capacity of MDP, and at the same time opened up opportunities to form a widely connected digital payment ecosystem, creating a foundation for the development of large-scale digital financial services in Vietnam.

MDP is licensed by the State Bank to provide intermediary payment services, including financial switching services, electronic clearance, electronic inspection gateways and support for collection and payment; creating connections between banks, financial institutions, businesses and digital service ecosystems. Previously, the unit also just signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with Napas to research and deploy connection models between two switching systems, in order to develop national payment infrastructure in a modern, synchronous, safe, and flexible direction.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Canh shared: "Born in the context of the country entering a new stage of development, along with the strategic direction of the 14th Party Congress, and also a business with capital contribution from MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation - a state-owned enterprise with an important role in the national digital infrastructure, MobiFone Digital Payment Joint Stock Company has many opportunities and opportunities to accelerate and break through in the payment sector, especially when the banking industry in general and the payment sector in particular are increasingly transforming, constantly innovating and creating, aiming towards a modern and professional economy.
Representative of Mobifone Telecommunications Corporation Major General Truong Son Lam emphasized: "As a business under the Ministry of Public Security, MobiFone deeply understands its role and responsibility not only in developing telecommunications infrastructure for the country but also contributing to building and developing digital payment infrastructure and modern, safe, secure, and reliable digital financial services at the highest level, capable of connecting with national database systems to bring the best utilities and experiences to people, businesses and society; and at the same time support the work of preventing and combating fraud and scams, ensuring the security and safety of the National Digital Payment System. The establishment of MobiFone Digital Payment Joint Stock Company and the provision of financial switching and electronic clearing services is a strategic step to complete MobiFone's digital ecosystem; at the same time, it is an affirmation of our determination to participate more deeply in the national digital economic value chain, connecting with regional and world payment and financial platforms.
MDP Chairman - Senior Lieutenant Colonel Bui Son Nam also affirmed: "MobiFone Digital Payment Joint Stock Company develops with the vision of creating an open and flexible payment technology platform, prioritizing the establishment of strategic alliances as a development lever with three core values: Technology - Innovation - Reliability. Technology to build modern platforms. Innovation to constantly create new solutions for the market. And confidence to ensure that all transactions in the ecosystem are always safe, transparent and reliable".

Within the framework of the event, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between MDP and the Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification (RAR) - under the Department of Police for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06), Ministry of Public Security, also took place, marking an important step forward in researching, developing and integrating financial services and non-cash payment utilities into the national electronic identification application VNeID.
The cooperation agreement focuses on creating a safe, transparent and convenient digital environment with key contents: (1) Integrating seamless digital payments so that financial transactions on VNeID are carried out smoothly and safely through the banking system and legal intermediary payment organization. (2) Developing a mini-app ecosystem for public services and financial services to expand the ability to provide services directly and quickly to people right on the VNeID platform. (3) Manage personal financial obligations through generalization features, display and update financial obligation information, facilitating the monitoring and execution of comparison transactions. (4) Ensuring secure connection infrastructure with a routing mechanism and coordinating technical service requirements from VNeID to corresponding processing systems, ensuring stable transmission lines, standardization and maximum security for participating parties.
MDP will play a leading role in researching, proposing solutions, designing technical architecture and investing resources for implementation. All development activities strictly comply with the management and operation orientation and strict security standards of Department C06.

Along with the signing of cooperation with the international card organization Visa at the launch ceremony, it showed the companionship and support from management agencies and reputable global partners; not only affirming confidence in MDP's development orientation, but also opening up opportunities to promote innovation, improve security standards and bring convenient and safe payment experiences to users and businesses.
In particular, the completion of cooperation agreements with 22 member organizations that are leading banks and financial institutions in Vietnam has marked an important step forward in building the digital payment ecosystem in Vietnam of MDP.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Phan Thanh Son - General Director of MDP emphasized: "With a modern technology platform and open cooperation orientation, MDP wishes to contribute to building a completely new digital payment infrastructure for Vietnam - a platform developed by Vietnamese people, operating according to international standards and widely connected with the domestic and global financial ecosystem. We believe that when banks, technology businesses and partners cooperate on a common platform, the Vietnamese digital payment market will develop faster, more sustainably and gradually enhance Vietnam's position in the regional digital economic ecosystem.
In the coming time, MDP will continue to focus on expanding cooperation with banks, technology businesses, fintech companies and partners in the field to develop a diverse, convenient and safe digital payment ecosystem for users.
