Da Nang is striving to build a financial center with clear goals and a specific development roadmap.

In the latest announcement (sent to relevant units and media agencies to prepare for the Workshop "Developing Regional and International Financial Centers in Vietnam" on January 16, 2025), the People's Committee of Da Nang City stated the clear goals and specific development roadmap of the Financial Center.

The financial center development model in Da Nang focuses on international financial services and a controlled testing mechanism in the Fintech sector, based on Resolution 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly. This opens a new chapter, creating an important driving force for Da Nang to affirm its position as a regional financial center.

The main objective of the Da Nang regional financial center is to provide financial services to support the promotion of international investment, business and trade. In particular, the center will play an important role in mobilizing international financial resources, serving the development of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone and the national innovation center. Da Nang aims to become the leading investment - trade - financial gateway of the country and the region. The long-term goal is to join the network of financial centers in Southeast Asia after 2045. The Da Nang financial center is built on a diverse ecosystem, including three main service groups: Including international payment services, international trade, risk management and foreign exchange transactions, as well as green financial services.

Regarding Fintech and TechFin services, Da Nang focuses on providing software and application platforms for payments, crypto asset transactions, and innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and Blockchain...

Providing auditing, accounting, legal, tax consulting, customs, resort services, conferences, high-end entertainment, real estate rental and valuation.

The Da Nang Financial Center aims to attract diverse subjects and entities, from strategic investors, domestic and international banks and financial institutions, to financial technology companies, insurance companies, investment funds, and professional service providers.

The main service objects include economic organizations and non-residents, especially enterprises and investors related to the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, the Concentrated Information Technology Park, the High-Tech Park and the National Innovation Center. The financial center also targets organizations and enterprises with international trade and investment activities with Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region.

Specific services include letters of credit, payment and transfer trust, import and export finance, credit insurance, foreign exchange transactions and derivatives. The center also places special emphasis on green finance development, with green investment funds, green loans, renewable energy certificates and green insurance.

With clear orientations and careful preparation, Da Nang is gradually realizing the goal of becoming a dynamic and developing regional financial center, contributing to the economic development of the whole country.
