More than 56,000 students participated in the competition, more than 9,000 medals were awarded and more than 20 sports were organized throughout many months - these are the outstanding figures of the closing ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Physical Education and Sports Festival recently.

The program is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, sports federations and Nestlé MILO brand. With methodical preparation and careful investment, this year's competition is not just a simple amateur tournament but has truly become a big festival, spreading the spirit of strong physical training throughout schools throughout the city.
More than 56,000 students create a special sports festival season of Ho Chi Minh City
The biggest highlight of this year's competition is the extremely impressive statistics on scale. The event recorded the largest number of participating students nationwide to date with more than 56,000 students registering to compete at all levels. The attraction of the tournament shows the increasing interest of the school, parents and students themselves in physical development.
In addition to the large number of participating students, the contest also recorded more than 9,000 medals awarded in many different sports. These medals are not only rewards for their efforts in training and competition but also recognition of their perseverance, will to overcome challenges and determination to conquer goals.

This year's competition is organized with a rich list of more than 20 different competition subjects. This diversity helps bring a comprehensive sports playground, suitable for the talents and interests of each student group. From basic, popular sports in schools such as athletics, football, basketball... to new subjects, even subjects that were less noticed before such as stick pushing, billiards..., are all included in the official competition program to create fair competition opportunities for all children.
Notably, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Sports Festival in the 2025 - 2026 school year was officially recognized by the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) as the "City-level Student Sports Festival with the largest number of participating students in Vietnam", with 56,905 students from 1,420 schools competing in 20 sports.
Interviewed at the ceremony, female student Nguyen Phan Phuong Anh (11 years old, Lac Long Quan Elementary School, belonging to the table tennis team) said that she has been attached to table tennis for more than two years. The subject helps this female student clearly feel the changes in physical strength, health as well as self-confidence.
The female student shared that participating in the contest was a memorable experience when she had the opportunity to meet many new friends and compete in a lively environment. Phuong Anh said that it was such frictions that helped her mature, know how to persevere in the face of difficulties and always try to improve herself after each match.

According to Phuong Anh, the contest not only adds motivation to sports-loving students but also contributes to spreading the spirit of health training to many young people. "I think the contest helps sports-loving people like me have more motivation to persevere in training, be healthier and change themselves in a positive direction," the female student expressed.
Commitment to promoting a dynamic lifestyle in the younger generation
In addition to creating a large-scale sports playground, this year's contest also made a mark by promoting communication activities on many platforms, widely spreading inspiring stories about students' journeys of training, competition and growth. Through creative content and videos shared by young athletes themselves, the spirit of training and dynamic lifestyle continues to be strongly spread to the community.
Accompanying that journey, Nestlé MILO continues to affirm its long-term commitment to promoting the school sports movement and spreading a dynamic lifestyle to the younger generation. Not only aiming to create playgrounds for students to practice physical training, the brand also hopes that through sports, it will help children accumulate important lessons about life skills, nurture perseverance, discipline, will to overcome difficulties and teamwork ability.

With Nestlé MILO, each tournament is not simply a place for children to conquer achievements or win medals, but also an environment to discover their potential, learn how to overcome pressure and grow up after each challenge. From persistent training sessions to each competition on the field, children are encouraged to build confidence, a spirit of constantly breaking through and form a habit of active exercise right from when they are still in school.
That is also the direction that the brand persistently pursues in its journey accompanying school sports in Vietnam: Contributing to creating many opportunities for children to be active, develop comprehensively both physically and mentally and carry those positive values throughout the journey of maturity.
