In order to comply with the plan to direct traffic, ban and limit vehicles on many central routes to serve the rehearsals and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, some banks have announced changes to transaction hours.
VPBank has issued a notice to adjust the transaction time of 67 branches and transaction offices in Hanoi for 3 days of August 21, August 27 and August 29. Details to shorten transaction time at VPBank branches and transaction offices are as follows:
August 21, 2025: Branches and transaction offices will stop operating at the counter from 10:30 am.
August 27 and August 29, 2025: Branches and transaction offices will stop operating at the counter from 3:00 p.m.
Notably, VPBank also informed about limiting cash transactions at the counter in the above 3 days. On August 21, cash transactions were only resolved at the Transaction Office Branch, VPBank Lang Ha, VPBank Kinh Do before 10:30 am. The remaining branches and transaction offices do not conduct cash transactions.
August 27 and August 29, 2025: Conduct cash transactions until 12:00, cashless transactions until 15:00.
The bank noted that the transaction schedule can be flexibly changed according to the announcement from the Organizing Committee of the Ceremony and will be updated regularly for customers to understand.
Similarly, Vietcombank informed customers about adjusting cash transaction times at some transaction points in Hanoi during the days of preliminary approval, approval and consolidation (August 21, August 27 and August 29).
Vietcombank will stop cash transactions at the counter during the following periods:
August 21, 2025: From 9:30 am.
August 27, 2025 and August 29, 2025: From 14:30 p.m.

Transaction offices not on the above list, ATMs and other transactions other than cash services at the counter at transaction offices on the above list, activities at Vietcombank will take place normally. To facilitate and avoid transaction interruptions, the bank encourages customers to prioritize the use of digital transaction channels.
