According to information at the press conference, the event will be held on August 18-19 at the I.C.E Hanoi International Exhibition Center, with the theme "Smart banking in the data and AI era".
The opening session and main workshop took place on the morning of August 18. The exhibition area continues to be open for people and businesses to visit and experience until noon on August 19.
It is expected that about 324 delegates will attend along with 21 booths of credit institutions, payment intermediaries and technology businesses.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the SBV has organized a series of digital transformation events. 2026 is also the time for the Banking sector to summarize 5 years of implementing the digital transformation plan of the Banking sector to 2025, with orientations to 2030 according to Decision 810/QD-NHNN dated May 11, 2021, and at the same time implement the Strategy for Digital Transformation of the Banking sector to 2030.
A new point of this year's event is that the exhibition area is expanded for people, business households and businesses to visit instead of mainly serving delegates attending the conference.
According to the Organizing Committee, at the booths, visitors can experience some services such as opening an account using eKYC electronic identification, paying by QR code, Tap to Pay, authenticating transactions by biometrics and financial assistant applications using AI.
For business households and businesses, some units will introduce solutions for accepting payments, cash flow management, electronic invoices, declaration and tax payment.
The event also arranged a cashless payment experience area, including payment by card, QR code, e-wallet and cross-border QR payment methods that have been connected to Vietnam.
In addition to exhibition activities, the program is expected to include presentations by representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Science and Technology on data, technology and digital transformation; a film summarizing the 5-year journey of digital transformation in the Banking sector and discussions on the next stage orientation.
From the perspective of technology businesses participating in the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoan - Deputy General Director of MISA Group - said that fintech is shifting from digitizing individual transactions to connecting business operation data with financial and banking services.

According to Ms. Ngoan, data on accounting, invoices, revenue and cash flow, based on customer consensus, can provide more information to the bank in the process of customer assessment and shorten credit access.
She cited the example of the MISA Lending platform currently connected to 16 commercial banks and credit institutions. According to MISA's published data, the total value of capital connected and disbursed through this platform to date has reached more than 40,000 billion VND, serving businesses and household businesses.
