On April 30, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the socio-economic situation in April and the first 4 months of 2026 continued to record many positive results, especially in the fields of budget revenue and production and business.
In 4 months, state budget revenue is estimated at 11,863 billion VND, equal to 50.8% of the estimate and an increase of 30.2% compared to the same period. This result reflects the effectiveness in financial management, strengthened revenue management and the clear recovery of the local economy.
The industrial sector continues to be a bright spot when the industrial production index of the whole industry is estimated to increase by 23.25%, concentrated in sectors such as electronic components, electricity production and building materials, playing an important role in overall growth.

Agriculture, forestry and fishery maintain stability. The total cultivated area of the Spring crop reached more than 125,487 ha; planted forest area increased by 1.9%. Seafood output is estimated at 29,114 tons, an increase of 3.5%, contributing to ensuring supply and improving production value.
Commercial and service activities recorded fairly good growth with total retail sales of goods and service revenue reaching about 15,721 billion VND, an increase of 10.74%. Tourism continues to recover, with the number of visitors estimated at about 750,000 in the month.
The investment environment has improved when the whole province has newly licensed 18 projects and adjusted 58 turns of projects, with a total registered capital of more than 65,219 billion VND. At the same time, 224 new businesses were established with a total registered capital of more than 1,614 billion VND, showing the attractiveness of the locality to investors.
Disbursement of public investment capital reached more than 1,216 billion VND, contributing to promoting the implementation of key projects and creating growth momentum in the coming time.
The above results show that Nghe An's economy is maintaining positive growth momentum, creating a foundation for completing development goals in 2026.
