From capital attraction to linkage promotion
In recent years, Lam Dong has attracted many FDI enterprises to invest in the fields of garment, mechanics, component manufacturing and processing industry.

This sector actively contributes to industrial growth, exports and local budget revenue.
However, the link between FDI enterprises and enterprises in the province is still quite faint.
Most local businesses are new to participating in the single service supply stages, with low added value, and have not yet formed long-term cooperation chains in technology and product development.
The Politburo's issuance of Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW dated June 8, 2026 on economic development with foreign investment capital is expected by the Lam Dong business community to create an important shift.
Resolution 10 shifts the focus from attracting capital to improving FDI quality, prioritizing technology transfer, innovation, linking with domestic enterprises and participating in the global value chain.
According to Mr. Le Binh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Lam Dong province, Resolution 10 creates a new development framework when bringing domestic enterprises into the center of the linkage and spreading process.
Previously, the effectiveness of FDI attraction was mainly assessed through the scale of registered capital. Currently, the focus has shifted to the level of technology spread, management capacity and the ability to form supply chains. This will be the basis for Lam Dong enterprises to participate more deeply in the value chain of FDI enterprises investing in the area," Mr. Minh said.
Expectation of forming a sustainable linkage chain
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Viet Thao Nhien Co., Ltd. (Loc Son Industrial Park, B'Lao Ward), said that along with Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development, Resolution 10 opens up more opportunities for local businesses to cooperate more deeply with foreign investors.

According to Mr. Tuan, the business community hopes that the policies of the resolution will soon be concretized by practical support policies to have the opportunity to participate in FDI projects, gradually becoming a link in the supply chain.
Sharing the same expectation, Ms. Ha Thi Hoa, owner of Ha Bao Silk Weaving Company (Ward 1, Bao Loc), said that what businesses need now is not only more orders but also opportunities to access technology, management standards, human resource training and technology transfer from foreign partners to improve competitiveness.
Currently, Lam Dong has 245 FDI projects with a total registered capital of nearly 9 billion USD. In the first 6 months of 2026 alone, the FDI sector achieved export turnover of more than 556 million USD, contributing over 30 million USD to the budget.

However, according to a survey by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), only about 4% of businesses in the area have links with the FDI sector, mainly through direct or indirect export activities.
In the coming time, Lam Dong will continue to attract investment in a selective direction, prioritizing projects using modern technology, creating high added value.
At the same time, the province builds a connection mechanism between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises through supply and demand promotion programs, supporting industry development, supporting technological innovation and improving the quality of human resources.
The local goal is not only to attract more FDI projects but also to form sustainable production chains, creating conditions for Lam Dong businesses to gradually participate more deeply in the regional and global supply network.
