Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo has provided strategic guidance to help Vietnam catch up with global trends in science and technology. Priority policies support businesses, synchronously develop human resources, infrastructure and international cooperation, contributing to achieving the goals of sustainable development and deep integration.

With a focus on technology application and innovation, Resolution 57 has a positive impact on socio-economic development, promoting industries and businesses to apply modern technologies. Improving labor skills and work efficiency, reducing work completion time, thereby increasing output value per worker. Creating conditions for improving production and management processes, minimizing errors and waste.

The resolution also encourages businesses to use renewable energy and energy-saving technology, thereby reducing operating costs. Applying automation in production, reducing dependence on manual labor, thereby reducing labor costs. Promoting research and development (R&D), encouraging startups and innovation. Industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, renewable energy and digital economy have strong development potential.

Putting the resolution into practice helps transform the traditional economy into a digital economy, focusing on added value from data and technology. New economic sectors based on technology have the potential to create high export value, reducing dependence on natural resources. Positioning Vietnam as a regional innovation hub, attracting foreign investment in high-tech fields. Resolution 57 encourages the application of technology in healthcare, such as electronic medical records, remote medical examination and treatment, and smart healthcare management, while promoting digitalization of education, opening up flexible learning opportunities through e-learning platforms and AR/VR and AI technology. Providing online classes helps address the shortage of teachers in disadvantaged areas, while increasing access to global knowledge.

Digitalizing public services such as administrative registration, justice, health, and education helps people everywhere access these services conveniently and quickly. Promoting cashless payments in both rural and urban areas, making financial transactions more equitable. Resolution 57 promotes the transition to green technology, reducing environmental pollution.

The implementation of Resolution 57 not only promotes economic growth but also contributes to improving the quality of social life, enhancing national status, and protecting the environment. Through this, Vietnam can affirm its role as an innovation center in the region and the world.
