Orientation of 18 communes to arrange
On January 14, information from the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee said that there was an orientation to arrange administrative units at district and commune levels for the period 2026-2030.
The province plans to reorganize 18 commune-level administrative units into 9 units.
Merge Thanh Thach and Thanh Hoa communes. Merge Le Hoa commune into Dong Le town. Merge Tay Trach and Hoa Trach communes. Merge Bac Trach and Thanh Trach communes. Merge Dong Trach and Duc Trach communes - communes subject to the 2023-2025 restructuring. Merge Tan Ninh and Xuan Ninh communes. Merge Duy Ninh and Ham Ninh communes. Merge My Thuy and Duong Thuy communes - communes subject to the 2023-2025 restructuring. Merge Thanh Thuy and Cam Thuy communes - subject to the 2023-2025 restructuring.
In addition, in the 2023-2025 period, there are 3 administrative units that need to be rearranged and have developed plans, but have not been rearranged because the results of the voter consultation did not reach the required rate and must be rearranged in the 2026-2030 period according to regulations (Son Loc, Quang Tan, Quang Thuy communes).
The province will maintain three associations, including the Business Association, the Youth Union, and the Gardening Association. The province will maintain the payroll and provide financial support for these three associations, and is expected to stop providing support by 2026.
In 2026, the province will not support operating costs for 20 associations: Former Teachers, Cultural Heritage, Accounting and Auditing, Ornamental Plants, Aquaculture, Medicine, Midwives, Sponsorship of Poor Patients, For the Development of People with Disabilities, Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Soldiers in 1972, Vietnam - Russia Friendship, Vietnam - Thailand Friendship, Vietnam - Germany Friendship, Vietnam - Laos Friendship, Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship, Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao Federation, Karate Federation, Table Tennis Federation, Bar Association.
