Ensuring compatible with the new tax model
Today, the Tax Department (Ministry of Finance) organized a training conference in person at the Tax Department and online with tax authorities nationwide.
This conference was held from March 20, aiming to unify tax management processes and operations, and resolve administrative procedures for taxpayers under the new organizational structure.
Deputy Director Mai Son said that from the end of November 2024 to March 2025, the tax sector has switched to a new organizational model.
In March 2025, the tax sector continued to urgently organize the arrangement of cadres according to the new organizational model. In 4 days from March 13 to March 17, the Technology, Digital Transformation and Automation Department (Tax Department) and units in the industry successfully carried out the handover of the database (CSDL), upgraded and converted the portfolios of tax authorities from the previous apparatus to the new one.
Resolving the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on innovation, streamlining the apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, the Vietnam Tax sector identifies this as a key task, a historical responsibility in the new development stage. This is not only a change in the organizational model but also a change in thinking and working methods - for a tax system that better serves the people, accompanying the development of enterprises and the country.
Upgrading the electronic tax system and converting portfolios is a very important and urgent task of the Tax sector right after the merger and streamlining. Accordingly, the new electronic tax system that operates smoothly, stably, and with high quality will create maximum conditions for taxpayers to reduce tax regulations and best serve the business community and people according to the guidelines of the Tax sector - Deputy Director Mai Son emphasized.
Deputy Director Mai Son shared that it can be seen that in recent days, units and officials and civil servants in the entire Tax sector have worked with a spirit of determination, urgency, not managing day and night and even weekends, to ensure compatible with the new tax model to ensure tax collection, management and the implementation of the new organizational work.
According to the leaders of the Tax Department, the Tax sector with high determination in quickly adapting to the new task situation, therefore, in parallel with tax management, performing state budget collection tasks, supporting businesses, expanding and nurturing revenue sources, performing inspection, debt collection, and law enforcement, one of the key tasks is to update professional processes, apply information technology and legal corridors to ensure smooth, effective, and efficient tax management.

Rediseading the tax management professional guidance process
The training program includes 8 topics presented by the Tax Department's professional departments with content on changes in tax management processes to meet the requirements of the new organizational model and at the same time change management methods from tax functional management to subject management.
At the conference, the professional departments under the Tax Department and the Regional Tax Branches reported, discussed and discussed the difficulties and problems in organizing the assignment and implementation of tax professional processes at departments according to the new organizational structure.
At the conference, Deputy Director Mai Son directed the Tax Affairs Committees under the Tax Department to base on the comments contributed, exchanged, and recommendations of the Regional Tax Departments - units that directly contact and work with businesses and people, and the departments need to continue to synthesize and research to perfect and redesign the new tax management professional guidance process and build the application of information technology to ensure synchronous, smooth tax administrative procedures and best serve the business community and people.
