HCMC - From May 15 to 18, people and tourists can buy products from ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Cao Bang province right in the heart of HCMC.

According to Ms. Dong Thi Kieu Oanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Cao Bang province, in recent years, Cao Bang has been gradually effectively exploiting the advantages of developing OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and typical specialties of the province.

To date, the province has 61 products recognized as typical rural industrial products at the provincial level, including 15 products recognized at the regional level, 05 products recognized at the national level; 144 products have achieved provincial OCOP certification, of which 131 products have achieved 3-star OCOP and 13 products have achieved 4-star OCOP.

Notably, some processed agricultural products of Cao Bang such as organic seasoning powder, dong vermicelli, dried vermicelli with five grains of star fruit, etc. have initially conquered demanding markets such as the United States, Japan, the EU, and South Korea.

The province's processed products from bamboo shoots, red ao dai cao, sticky rice and herbs are also highly appreciated by international visitors for their quality and uniqueness.

More than 15 enterprises, cooperatives, and production and business establishments of Cao Bang province participated in displaying nearly 80 typical rural industrial products, OCOP products, typical products of the province such as black jelly, dong vermicelli, five-color vermicelli, Bao Lac sticky rice, Trung Khanh bee sticky rice, Chung cake, banh mi, Giao Co Lam tea... and many other agricultural products.

The event "Wed week introducing products of ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Cao Bang province in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025" is expected to create leverage for Cao Bang agricultural products to conquer the Ho Chi Minh City market, opening up opportunities for widespread consumption, promoting production and improving the lives of people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Ms. Cao Thi Phi Van - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center, emphasized the role of the economic locomotive of Ho Chi Minh City, a major center for economy, finance, trade, culture, science - technology, innovation, education - training of the key economic region in the South and the whole country.
