According to some small traders, before the 2026 New Year, peach blossoms were sold quite well because many people wanted to have an early Tet atmosphere in their homes. Currently, there are still customers but only scattered.
According to PV's survey, there are many types of peach blossoms with different prices, such as legendary peach branches with common prices from 300,000 - 550,000 VND/branch (depending on shape and size); traditional peach branches have very diverse prices, from 80,000 - 300,000 VND (depending on the diameter of the canopy, pines); forest peach blossoms are quite expensive, from 1.2 million VND - 3 million VND (depending on the ancientness, moss of the root and natural branch shape)...
At this time, customers prefer traditional peach branches to plant on tables or small-sized wild peach blossoms. Buying head peach blossoms makes the flowers large and thick. Regarding prices, it is not possible to predict, depending on weather conditions, whether the flowers bloom on time or not... This year, peach blossoms are out of season, in September and October there are still storms and floods, killing 2/3 of the fields," Ms. Thu (character name has been changed) - a small trader at Quang An market - shared.
Wandering around Quang An flower market, Mr. Thanh (Ha Dong, Hanoi) said that he is wondering if he should buy them this time, according to Mr. Thanh, early-season peach blossoms are quite beautiful, but because of that, the price will be high.
These peach blossoms are bought to play for about 20 days, and will be bought again at the time of the full moon. I probably choose to buy a few small round peach branches to plant on the table to have a Tet atmosphere," Mr. Thanh shared.
According to small traders, peach trees and branches to serve the Lunar New Year have just been peeled, and will have flowers in about 2 weeks. At Quang An flower market, besides peach blossoms and plum blossoms, kumquat pots (mainly taken from Van Giang, Hung Yen) have also been displayed for sale to serve people, but not many yet. The price for kumquat pots with a diameter of about 30cm is about 200,000 VND/pot.
In Nhat Tan peach blossom village (Hanoi), peach growers are currently busy with the final stages to make peach blossoms on time, such as peeling leaves, blocking peach blossoms, fertilizing... In recent years, erratic weather has made peach blossom planting even more difficult.
Demand for buying peach blossoms usually increases sharply from about December 20th onwards, when people start cleaning up their houses and decorating the space to welcome the new year. Many gardeners expect the market to be more vibrant as Tet Nguyen Dan approaches. In addition to selling peach branches, peach growers in Nhat Tan also proactively expand the form of leasing shaped and original peach blossoms to reduce risks if purchasing power does not increase.
