The Tet market is bustling with garden fruits
Although Tet is still about two months away, the atmosphere of agricultural production is bustling throughout the gardens. Farmers take good care of and prepare to provide high-quality products to serve the 2026 Tet market.
Mr. Huynh Phu Loc, General Director of 620 Agricultural Joint Stock Company, Tan Luoc commune, has many years of experience in growing melons, sharing that thanks to the smart drip irrigation system, the fruit quality is always stable.
Mr. Loc said that this year's Tet holiday, the company plans to buy 40-45 tons of melons in a net, many large customers have pre-orders. Cantaloupe prices are expected to be higher thanks to increased demand and harsh weather affecting overall output.
According to Mr. Loc, to increase the value of melon, this year is the 4th year the company has written lettering on melons, attracting many customers, expecting about 4,000 fruits to serve this Tet holiday.
"The product is both beautiful and has the meaning of luck and fortune, making many consumers excited," Mr. Loc added.

In Trung Thanh commune, Mr. Nguyen Van Luan stands out with Nam Roi grapefruit. Mr. Luan said that after 8 years of growing grapefruits, he meticulously takes care of each fruit, ensuring beautiful yellow color, plump water, and delicious flavor. This Tet season, grapefruit output is estimated at about 2 tons, down about 1 ton compared to the previous Tet.
"Although the weather this year is not favorable, causing the fruit set rate to decrease, thanks to organic farming combined with advanced techniques, profits are not greatly affected. At the same time, the output of grapefruit is guaranteed," Mr. Luan added.
Farmers are busy, traders place orders early
According to records, the gardens in Vinh Long are busier than ever. Farmers are busy taking care of their fruits, while traders from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces proactively order early, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for Tet.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a trader at Vinh Long market, said that as is the custom every year, she places 50 pairs of calligraphy melons for retail during Tet with shaped fruits such as: perilla grapefruit, yellow bar grapefruit...
Mr. Tran Minh, a long-time customer, ordered about 2 tons of melons to distribute at his clean agricultural product stores, serving customers to find high-quality Tet products.

As for grapefruit, despite reduced output, traders are hunting for quality products. Ms. Mai Thi Hoai from Long An (before the merger) said that she is actively contacting grapefruit gardens to ensure enough goods for the Tet market, reflecting the strong attraction of Nam Roi grapefruit.
According to Ms. Mai, some other traders also look for specialty goods to serve the needs of giving and giving. They pick fruit all week in advance to ensure transportation time, proving that the Tet fruit is fresh, fresh and ready to be supplied on time for Tet.
