The situation of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights is still complicated in some localities.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch 82/CD-TTg dated June 4, 2025 on continuing to promote the peak of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

The results of the peak period have detected, combated, prevented, and handled many cases and subjects violating the production and trading of milk, drugs, food, fake functional foods, etc.

However, through inspection and practical assessment, it can be seen that the work of disseminating and organizing the implementation of the peak period in some localities is still slow, not firmly grasping and closely following the situation.

The situation of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights is still complicated in some localities; the coordination between ministries, branches, and localities is sometimes not tight and effective.

To continue to promote the fight, prevent, repel, and move towards ending smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, etc., the Prime Minister requested to focus on directing the synchronous, drastic, and effective implementation of the assigned tasks and solutions.

The Prime Minister requested to strengthen direction and urge functional forces to closely coordinate, continue to promote the peak period of fighting to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, fake milk, fake medicine, fake functional foods, unquality foods, goods that infringe intellectual property rights.

From the initial attack results of the peak period, it is necessary to continue to make the peak period attack more vibrant, determined, drastic, and effortsful, achieving substantial results, creating a foundation and favorable conditions to continue to effectively carry out this important task in the coming time.

Timely detect and strictly handle violators; at the same time, strictly handle cadres, civil servants, and officers who show signs of moral degradation, corruption, negativity, protection, and assistance violators with the motto " handle one case, warn the whole region, the whole field", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions".

The Prime Minister also requested the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees and the Party Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to directly lead and closely direct Party committees, authorities and the entire political system in the locality to proactively and actively participate in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

It is proposed that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations continue to coordinate closely with the ministries, branches and localities in propagating and mobilizing the business community and the people to respond actively, responsible for the peak month and in the fight against smuggling, trade frauds, fake goods, infringing on intellectual property rights to detect early, fight and prevent right from the starting site.

The National Steering Committee 389 directs ministries, branches, localities, and functional forces to focus on implementing drastically and effectively tasks and solutions on preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
