Mr. Pham Thien Nghia - Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee - has just signed and issued the Plan for Dong Thap Pangasius Festival in 2024.
With the theme "Dong Thap Pangasius: Green Journey - Green Value", Dong Thap Pangasius Festival - 2024 will take place for 2 days (from November 16 - 17), at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Hong Ngu City with many important and practical contents aiming towards green values.
Although only identified as a provincial-level event, the Festival is organized with the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the participation of many localities in the Mekong Delta region with strengths in breeding, processing and exporting this fish species, such as: An Giang, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Ben Tre... Especially with the participation of associations, enterprises, production facilities, cooperatives, aquaculture farmers, input material suppliers, processors and consumers of pangasius products in the province and region.
Within the framework of the Festival, there will be many programs such as: Opening of the Border Trade Promotion Fair; Culinary contest of delicious dishes from pangasius; Exhibition space of typical OCOP products associated with the pangasius industry value chain; Traditional art night of the pangasius industry; Conference to summarize the pangasius industry in 2024 and discuss solutions to implement tasks in 2025...
This is considered a continuation of the first Pangasius Festival event successfully organized by the People's Committee of Dong Thap province in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2022 with the theme "Pioneering breakthrough".
