Discovering more than 600 smuggled moon cakes

Lang Son - Nearing the Mid-Autumn Festival, the authorities have just blocked a large-scale shipment of smuggled moon cakes.

On September 17, informing reporters, the Market Management Department of Lang Son province said that Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with the Ky Lua Ward Police to conduct a surprise inspection of a business household at No. 8, Group 1, Block 27, Ky Lua Ward.

Through inspection, the authorities discovered 624 moon cake products of all kinds, along with 258 boxes of peach yogurt and 20 bags of Hafer Flocken grains (500g/bag).

All of the above goods have foreign printed packaging, stated Made in China.

Notably, the business owner Ly Nguyen Minh Chau could not present invoices, documents or documents proving the legal import origin of the shipment.

Currently, all exhibits have been temporarily detained for investigation and handling according to the law.
