    Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen, Vice Chairman of FLC Group in charge of aviation and airport infrastructure investment, passed away on August 26, 2026.

    On August 27, according to information from FLC Group, Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen, Vice Chairman of the Group, passed away at 1:15 am on August 26, 2026 in Gia Lai province.

    Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen holds the position of Vice Chairman of FLC Group, in charge of aviation and airport infrastructure investment from August 1, 2026.

    Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen's joining FLC has received attention because he has more than 40 years of experience in the fields of aviation, investment, business development and international cooperation. Before joining FLC, he held the position of Country Director of Boeing Vietnam.

    Previously, Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen participated in connecting FLC with US partners in the investment research and upgrade plan for Phu Cat Airport and Pleiku Airport.

    According to information from FLC, he has held many positions at organizations connecting the US and international business community with Vietnam such as Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council in Vietnam, Co-Chairman of the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) and Chairman of AmCham Hanoi.

    These are organizations participating in policy dialogue, trade promotion and investment connection activities between Vietnam and the international business community, including US businesses.

    Before officially becoming Vice Chairman of FLC, Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen participated in the group's plan in the field of aviation infrastructure. Through his connection, FLC and HAS Development Corporation (HASDC) signed a principle contract on researching investment and upgrading Phu Cat Airport and Pleiku Airport in Gia Lai.

    After the agreement, the two sides coordinated to conduct field surveys and study plans to upgrade and expand the two airports according to the public-private partnership (PPP) method.

    On July 10, 2026, this plan was approved for research policy by Gia Lai province.

    Later, when appointed as Vice Chairman of FLC, Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen was assigned to be in charge of aviation and airport infrastructure investment. This area of responsibility is associated with his many years of experience in the aviation industry as well as the process of connecting FLC with international partners before.
