On October 31, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued a document requesting FLC Group Joint Stock Company to urgently deploy measures to protect forests and prevent the exploitation and theft of pine trees in the area.
Gia Lai Provincial Police have issued recommendations on handling the illegal exploitation of pine forests in Dak Doa commune.
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province requires FLC Group Joint Stock Company to fulfill its commitment when implementing the Dak Doa Golf Course Project, responsible for managing, caring for and protecting the pine forest area within the project scope.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Dak Doa Commune People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Police and relevant agencies and units to develop coordination regulations to strengthen patrolling, control, timely detection and strict handling of acts of illegal theft and consumption of pine trees.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, hundreds of hectares of pine forests have been planted by people since 1979 to create a landscape and preserve the ecological environment.

Local people join hands to protect the green pine forest, contributing to the development of tourism on the pink grass hill. However, almost every year, there are incidents of encroachment, deforestation, and theft of ornamental plants.
Previously, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province (old) has assigned 174 hectares of pine forest to enterprises to implement the Dak Doa Golf Course Project and the High-class Resort villa Area. However, from 2020 to now, the project is still unfinished, the construction site is deserted.
Currently, the Dak Doa golf course construction site is located in the middle of a completely deserted pine forest, making it easy for people to break in, dig, and take the trees to sell.
