The secret comes from the green channel mechanism
According to a report by the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, the province's GRDP growth rate recorded a strong breakthrough.
In the first 6 months of the year, Phu Tho's GRDP increased by 10.18% (ranked first in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, 7th in the country).
Contributing to this result, the industrial and construction sectors played a pillar role with an increase of 14.9% (specifically industry increased by nearly 16%). The service sector increased by 7.6%. the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.6%...
One of the important driving forces helping Phu Tho maintain double-digit growth momentum comes from administrative procedure reform with the establishment of the "green channel" mechanism.
The province flexibly applies the "24-hour Green Channel" mechanism (receiving, resolving and returning results within 24 hours) and "50% Green Channel" (cutting half of the time to resolve procedures at each stage).
In the first 6 months of 2026, FDI investment capital attraction in the province reached more than 1.77 billion USD, nearly 5 times higher than the same period and reaching 110.2% of the annual plan; domestic investment capital (DDI) attraction reached more than 18.7 trillion VND.
Removing bottlenecks in backlog projects
According to data from Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, as of July 3, 2026, the disbursement rate of public investment capital of the province reached 37.3% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, higher than the national average (35.5%).
However, there are still many backlog projects in the area. This is one of the "bottlenecks" that need to be resolved.
Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee said that the province established Task Force 751, directing the review, digitization of dossiers and completion of the database for 149 projects facing long-term difficulties and obstacles (34 projects proposed to the Central Government to remove obstacles, 115 projects under local authority).
To date, the province has dismantled 50 projects, and the remaining 99 projects have had handling plans, determined to complete the settlement before December 31, 2026.
In the coming time, the province will continue to focus resources on completing inter-regional transport infrastructure and industrial park and cluster infrastructure.
Accordingly, the province will promote many key national and inter-provincial transport projects.
Typical projects are inter-regional traffic roads connecting Viet Tri ward, to Hoa Binh ward, Phu Tho province to Thanh Hoa province" - total investment of 15,967 billion VND; Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway section Km19-Km53 (9,997 billion VND), sub-project GPMB of Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway (8,300 billion VND); Hoa Binh - Hanoi regional link road and Son La expressway (4,120 billion VND)... Focus on deploying 3 industrial parks (Doan Hung, Phu Ninh, Trung Ha II) and establishing Dam Duong CCN, raising the total planned number to 31 industrial parks and 66 CCNs.
According to Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, accelerating the progress of these infrastructure projects is expected to add momentum for Phu Tho to maintain its double-digit growth target for the whole year 2026.
