On May 9, information from the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade said that the Provincial Market Management Sub-Department will coordinate with functional forces to organize a peak period of inspection and handling of violations in the field of intellectual property under the direction of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee.
In this peak period, the market management force will focus on inspecting border routes, border gate areas, wholesale markets, commercial centers, warehouses and business activities on e-commerce platforms.

For goods at high risk of being counterfeited such as cosmetics, functional foods, clothing, pesticides and essential consumer goods, functional forces will strengthen surprise inspections to promptly detect and handle violations.
Along with that, the market management force will promote the application of digital technology to monitor online sales activities, livestreams and groups on social networks to detect signs of trading in counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin.
In addition to inspection and handling, functional forces also strengthen propaganda and raise legal awareness for people and business establishments about protecting intellectual property rights, contributing to building a healthy business environment, protecting the rights of consumers and legitimate businesses.
According to the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, in the first 4 months of 2026, the provincial Market Management force inspected 21 cases of intellectual property rights violations, fining a total of 246 million VND.
