Gold store bearing protected trademark
Over the past time, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has established an inter-sectoral working group to direct the implementation of solutions to combat, prevent and handle acts of intellectual property rights infringement in the area.
According to the province's direction, functional forces strengthen market control, promptly detect and handle organizations and individuals with acts of trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property rights.
At the same time, promote professional measures to investigate and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law.
During the peak inspection period, the Provincial Police force discovered and is handling 5 cases related to signs of intellectual property rights infringement in gold and jewelry business activities.
On May 12, 2026, the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police inspected K.T. K Private Enterprise (Kon Tum ward). Functional forces discovered 14 gold-plated metal jewelry products including earrings, bracelets, and women's rings with similar signs to brands being protected in Vietnam such as "Cartier" and "Chanel".
The total weight of gold on the product stamp is 32.429 chi. All exhibits have been temporarily seized for verification and handling according to regulations.
On the same day, functional forces inspected Private Enterprise M.T. K. T in Kon Tum ward. The inspection results recorded 14 products with similar signs to famous brands, including 11 products bearing the "Chanel" sign and 3 products bearing the "Dior" sign.
The total weight of gold (including attached stones) is 11.395 chi. Exhibits have been temporarily seized to serve the investigation.
Sealing exhibits, waiting for verification and handling
The Economic Police Department also conducted an inspection of L.K. T Private Enterprise at Tran Hung Dao Street, Kon Tum Ward.
Through inspection, 21 gold jewelry products with signs suspected of infringing the "Chanel" trademark being protected in Vietnam were discovered, including gold pendants, women's rings and earrings.
Notably, these goods do not have invoices or documents proving their origin. The total amount of gold recorded on the stamp is 13.7 taels.
Functional forces have made a record and temporarily seized exhibits to continue verifying and handling according to legal regulations.
In the near future, the Quang Ngai provincial government will promote propaganda, disseminate laws and improve skills in identifying and preventing acts of intellectual property rights infringement for people and businesses.
At the same time, resolutely and strictly handle cases of intellectual property rights violations according to regulations.
