During the 2026 New Year holiday, cultural, sports, and tourism activities in Quang Ninh province will be vibrant and safe.
On January 1, 2026, Quang Ninh welcomed the super yacht Celebrity Solstice carrying 3,018 international tourists and 1,222 crew members to Ha Long International Passenger Port.
At 6 am on the same day, the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee directly presented flowers to congratulate the first international visitors to Quang Ninh in the new year.
Localities in the province have also organized many cultural activities, festivals, art programs, and countdowns to welcome the new year.
According to a report by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, on December 31, 2025, the locality welcomed 220,000 visitors (14,000 international visitors), with revenue reaching 440 billion VND. On January 1, 2026, the number of visitors reached 160,000 visitors (18,000 international visitors), with revenue reaching 432 billion VND.
In total, for 2 days, the whole province is estimated to reach 380,000 visitors, including 32,000 international visitors, 348,000 domestic visitors; about 103,000 overnight visitors; total tourism revenue is estimated at 872 billion VND.
Some tourist destinations recorded high number of visitors such as Ha Long Bay 23,879 arrivals, Sun World Ha Long 7,000 arrivals, Quang Ninh Museum 2,435 arrivals, Yen Tu 4,585 arrivals.
