According to the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the Quang Ninh Provincial Theater will be a modern theater with synchronous technical infrastructure, planned to be built in Bai Chay ward.
The area for building the theater is about 17 hectares, which is unused land managed by the state. Currently, technical infrastructure in the area has been invested in synchronously, connecting conveniently.
The project is in accordance with the General Planning of Ha Long City until 2040, approved by the Prime Minister in 2023 and the Land Use Planning for the period 2021-2030 of Ha Long City.
Investment form: Bidding to select investors.
The total estimated capital of the Quang Ninh Provincial Theater project is VND 22,100 billion, double the the theater project located in the Dam Tri area, right next to West Lake (Tay Ho District, Hanoi). This theater has an area of about 13,000m2, with a total investment of about 10,000 billion VND from socialized sources.
The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province assigned the People's Committee of Ha Long city to coordinate with departments and branches to submit a list of land plots for bidding in the coming time.
Currently, Quang Ninh does not have any theater, although it was previously planned to build a theater on the side of Hon Gai, Ha Long City.
In 2024, listening to and giving opinions on the planning of subdivisions of Ha Long City, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee agreed to reserve a suitable land fund in an appropriate location in Bai Chay ward to build the Quang Ninh Provincial Theater in the future, to serve the people and develop tourism.
In addition to calling for investment in implementing the Quang Ninh Provincial Theater project, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province also called for non-budgetary investment in a series of large projects in Ha Long, from healthcare, education, culture to industry, tourism, services, real estate... in the 2025-2030 period, with a total investment of more than VND 111,000 billion and a total land area of more than 2,251 hectares.
