On February 16, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee listened to and gave opinions on the planning of some subdivisions of Ha Long City; draft submissions and Project on developing pilot mechanisms and policies for the development of Van Don Economic Zone (KKT) to request opinions from the Politburo. Mr. Vu Dai Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee - chaired the conference.
According to the report of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, implementing the Prime Minister's direction on "Focusing on resolving backlog projects, stopping construction, urgently deploying, completing, and putting them into use to prevent waste and loss" and the instructions of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Committee, and People's Committee of Quang Ninh province have directed agencies, units and Ha Long city to complete the Sub-zone 6 Planning. This is a subdivision located in Bai Chay, Hung Thang and Ha Khau wards. As a high-end tourism, service and entertainment center, it is very important in developing the service - tourism sector of Ha Long city as well as the whole province.
The Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee assigned the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant units to quickly complete the remaining procedures to approve the planning in February 2025. Create favorable conditions for investment projects to be implemented as soon as possible. Thereby, contributing to the overall growth results of the province in 2025.
Also at the conference, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee also met and agreed to submit to the Secretariat for comments on the Project to build a mechanism and pilot policy for the development of Van Don Economic Zone.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed to report and propose the Standing Committee of the Central Secretariat to add to the work program of the Politburo and request the Politburo to allow Quang Ninh province to preside over and coordinate with a number of central ministries and branches to develop and perfect the "Project to build pilot mechanisms and policies for the development of Van Don Economic Zone, Quang Ninh province" to report to competent authorities according to regulations.
