After a long period of heavy rain, a series of vegetable gardens in Da Nang City were deeply submerged in water, causing many vegetable areas to be severely damaged and having a shortage of supply.
Recorded at some markets in Da Nang city, many types of vegetables, mustard greens, water spinach... have no products to sell. Some vegetables such as mustard greens, cinnamon, and water spinach have doubled compared to normal days.
Ms. Truong Thi Nguyet, a trader at Hoa Khanh market, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city, said: "Due to heavy rain for many days, the source of vegetables such as mustard greens, cinnamon, Chinese coriander, and amaranth has decreased significantly, and there is even no goods to import and sell. On a normal day, 15,000 VND/bunch of mustard greens now cost 25,000 VND/bunch".

"I bought this bowl of vegetables for 20,000/400g, and a small bag of potatoes costs 10,000 VND. This price is more expensive than I usually buy," said Ms. Tran Huyen, a vegetable buyer at Hoa Khanh market.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, a trader at Tam Thuan market, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city, said that the price of vegetables today has doubled or tripled compared to normal days. These two days, we have moved our goods earlier than usual because the source of imported goods is small, so we should not sell quickly.
Meanwhile, in La Huong vegetable garden (Cam Le district, Da Nang city), one of the city's key vegetable growing areas, many hectares of vegetables such as mustard, lettuce, tomatoes... were waterlogged, had rotten roots, and were almost completely damaged.
According to statistics, in Da Nang City, 140.2 hectares of vegetables and crops were flooded, including 5 hectares of vegetables in the Tuy Loan vegetable area; 42 hectares of crops in Nam Yen, An Dinh, Loc My villages (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city).
Many traders at markets in the city are making efforts to ensure a supply of green vegetables for the market.
