On the afternoon of February 5, at a press conference to inform about the results of the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and tasks for 2026, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee provided a lot of information related to import and export activities through border gates in the area.
Talking to the press, Mr. Vo Thanh Tri - Chief of Office of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee said that immediately after Decree No. 46 took effect, the application of new regulations directly affected the transportation and customs clearance activities of some groups of goods, especially agricultural products. In a short time, delays in procedures have appeared at some border gates, affecting businesses and people.
Faced with that reality, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has urgently reviewed and summarized the arising problems, and at the same time sent a written recommendation to relevant ministries and sectors and reported to the Prime Minister to soon remove difficulties for customs clearance activities.
According to Mr. Vo Thanh Tri, local recommendations have been quickly received. Central ministries and branches have issued guidelines and adjustments to suit reality, contributing to unblocking import and export activities. Up to now, customs clearance of goods at border gates in the province has basically been normal, and there is no longer a situation where goods trucks have to wait for a long time as before.

Leaders of the Office of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee added that the Government has issued Resolution No. 09 on temporarily suspending the validity and adjusting the application period of Decree No. 46. On that basis, the province will continue to closely monitor the situation, proactively coordinate with central agencies to ensure stable and smooth import and export activities in the coming time.
Regarding agricultural quarantine work, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province said that the difficulties arising in the past time mainly focused on the quarantine stage, in which fresh cassava products were most clearly affected when Decree No. 46 was implemented.
As soon as problems arose, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province promptly reported to the Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time advised the locality to have documents proposing to central ministries and branches to consider and adjust to suit the actual production and circulation of goods.
According to a representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province, the Government has decided to temporarily suspend the validity of Decree No. 46 until the end of April 15, 2026. After this time, the decree will be considered for re-implementation based on a full impact assessment, ensuring harmony between state management requirements and creating favorable conditions for import and export activities.
Also according to information from the Department, in the past time, ministries such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Ministry of Health have had drastic directions, closely coordinated with localities within the scope of management functions, thereby supporting businesses and people, ensuring that quarantine and customs clearance of agricultural products take place smoothly.
Up to now, the customs clearance situation of agricultural products through border gates in Tay Ninh province has stabilized, and no major problems have been recorded, creating favorable conditions for goods circulation and local economic development.
