On December 18, at Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone, Tay Ninh province, Army Corps 20 - Tan Cang Saigon Corporation held a ceremony to officially announce the operation of Tan Cang - Moc Bai Port, marking an important development step in the strategy of completing logistics infrastructure and promoting cross-border trade between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Moc Bai is the largest road border gate in the South, located on National Highway 22, about 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the shortest route connecting the Southern Key Economic Zone with the capital Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and plays an important gateway on the Economic Corridor of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). Vietnam - Cambodia trade turnover grew strongly, reaching about 10.4 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2025 and is expected to reach 12 billion USD for the whole year.
Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone with a scale of over 21,000 hectares is attracting many tax-free logistics projects, warehouses, and supermarkets. The synchronous development of infrastructure and reform of border procedures creates conditions to form a professional logistics supply chain. In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway project, when completed, will shorten travel time to about 45 minutes, contributing to reducing logistics costs, speeding up the circulation of goods and improving competitiveness.
Tan Cang - Moc Bai dry port is invested and exploited by Tan Cang - Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company (member of the Tan Cang Saigon Corporation system).

At the ceremony, the enterprise signed contracts and cooperation minutes with strategic partners to develop logistics services, exploit warehouses, store and apply information technology in management and supervision.
In the 2026 - 2030 period, Tan Cang Saigon aims to make Tan Cang - Moc Bai Port a leading cross-border logistics center in the Tay Ninh region and Vietnam - Cambodia border gates; maximize the capacity of phase 1 and complete phase 2 by 2028.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Le Van Han - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province - emphasized that the border gate economy associated with logistics is one of the development pillars of Tay Ninh province. The operation of Tan Cang - Moc Bai Port will contribute to shortening customs clearance time, reducing congestion, optimizing transportation costs and improving the efficiency of the supply chain, connecting logistics between Vietnam and Cambodia.
On this occasion, Tan Cang Saigon Corporation donated 100 million VND to the Fund for the Poor of Tay Ninh province and 50 million VND to the Fund for the Poor of Ben Cau commune.
