Many people aged 35-44 currently simultaneously take on the responsibility of taking care of children and supporting parents. This is also the group often called the "sandwich" generation when they have to balance many financial priorities in the same period of life.
The Asia Care 2026 survey conducted by Manulife with 1,000 adults in Vietnam shows that 72% of people aged 35-44 are providing financial support to their families. Among those taking on this responsibility, 74% said that family financial pressure affects the ability to achieve long-term financial autonomy, and 70% are concerned about the ability to pay for care needs in old age.

Current pressure is changing the way many people perceive their financial future. Up to 89% of respondents believe that financial independence and self-reliance is a meaningful "asset" that they want to leave for their families, while 57% want not to become a burden for their loved ones in old age.
This trend is also reflected in the way Vietnamese people prepare for old age. Up to 81% intend to rely on personal savings, 48% choose insurance and 43% turn to investment solutions. Meanwhile, only 21% expect to receive financial support from their children.
In that context, solutions combining protection and investment are receiving much attention thanks to their ability to simultaneously meet the needs of financial protection and long-term asset accumulation. Green Phu Quy unit-linked insurance product is one of the solutions developed in this direction.
In addition to financial protection benefits, the product allows customers to participate in investment through professionally managed unit-linked funds. Designed with a planned fee payment period of 5 years, the solution helps customers build accumulated value and have the opportunity to receive a Gratitude Award when meeting the conditions according to the product regulations.
After 10 years, customers can flexibly use part of the account value when needed while still maintaining the benefits of the contract. Accumulated value has the opportunity to continue to increase according to the investment results of the selected unit-linked funds, along with long-term protection benefits and the ability to transfer assets to the next generation.
