On January 30, news from Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that functional agencies are implementing procedures for 4 projects serving socio-economic development on land managed by rubber companies under Vietnam Rubber Industry Group.
The projects include: Project to invest in the construction of technical infrastructure of Industrial Cluster No. 2 (Dak Doa 2) invested by Shinec Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (project scale of 74.9 ha); TRE - Dak Doa high-tech agricultural application project, Gia Lai province invested by Tay Nguyen Energy Resource Technology Joint Stock Company (area scale of 467.035 ha);
Ia Grai Industrial Cluster Project in Ia Hrung commune invested by Ia Grai Industrial Cluster Investment Joint Stock Company - Gia Lai 3 (area scale of 52.69 ha); Chu Se High-Tech Agricultural Zone Project invested by Viet Phuc Production and Import-Export Joint Stock Company...

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the land area for project implementation is currently under the management of Chu Se, Mang Yang, Chu Pah rubber companies. According to the provisions of the Land Law, the State recovers land in truly necessary cases to implement socio-economic development projects for national and public interests, in order to promote land resources and improve land use efficiency...
The above projects are also included in the Gia Lai Provincial Plan for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister.
In the past time, Gia Lai province has recognized the contributions of rubber companies in socio-economic development, making large contributions to the budget, creating jobs and implementing social security, especially in remote and isolated areas, and ethnic minority areas in the province.
However, currently rubber prices are low, leading to the budget contribution level and the ability to create jobs for people in the province of companies not meeting expectations.
Therefore, with the goal of double-digit economic growth, the requirement to transform the land use model, improve land use efficiency (converting to industrial land, high-tech agriculture, energy) is considered the key to Gia Lai province achieving sustainable growth.
