The Congress was attended by representatives of the Central Party Committees and the Party Committees of the Government Party Committees; representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches and 220 delegates representing more than 9,000 Party members in the entire Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 4th Party Congress of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) focused on comprehensively assessing the results of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term; determining the direction, tasks and breakthrough solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
The Congress assessed that in the 2020-2025 term, under the leadership of the Party, State, Government Party Committee, with the support of central ministries, departments, and branches, the entire Party Committee has united, strived, and basically completed the targets set by the Resolution of the 3rd General Meeting of the Group Party Committee, term 2020-2025, contributing significantly to the country's successful implementation of socio-economic development goals according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
The Group has overcome the extremely difficult period in the first half of the term, effectively handling backlogs and errors; restructuring and rearranging the Group; organizing electricity production and supply to ensure socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, meeting the annual electricity growth demand of 10 to 15%; paying the annual state budget of 23 - 24 trillion VND.
Speaking to congratulate and direct the Party Congress of Vietnam Electricity Group, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Party and State have given the most noble awards and titles to the Electricity industry; affirming that this is a great glory, but also showing high responsibility, requiring efficiency to be increasingly improved, the results of the following year must be higher than the previous year, the next term must be higher than the previous term.
Assessing the achievements of the Group Party Committee and the entire Group in the past term, sometimes up and down, sometimes breakthrough, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh formulated 36 words expressing the message of confidence and hope to the Group: Difficulties to remove; confidence return; solidarity consolidation; innovative thinking; drastic action; advanced governance; improvement efficiency; caring institutions; exemplary leadership.
Commending EVN Group for its good work in social security, with the allocation of VND1,262 billion for social security, the Prime Minister also pointed out the limitations that the Electricity industry needs to overcome such as: Not yet building a competitive electricity market; not really speeding up, daring, accelerating, and breaking through the development of electricity sources and electricity loads; electricity prices need to ensure competitive, development, harmonious, and reasonable factors between businesses and people...
Emphasizing the role of the Party's 5 principles of operation and 5 methods of leadership; the work of fighting waste, negativity, and monopoly in electricity production and distribution, the Prime Minister also highlighted lessons learned in leading, directing and organizing the implementation of tasks such as: Grasping, grasping, responding flexibly and effectively to the situation; closely following the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws; changing thinking, mobilizing resources; exemplary behavior of cadres and Party members; solidarity, unity; building a clean and strong Party...
Agreeing with the goal set by the Congress for the coming time, the Prime Minister requested the Electricity sector in general and the Vietnam Electricity Group to focus on meeting the electricity demand for the country's development, with double-digit growth in the coming time.
