In the first 8 months of 2026, the Company has successfully completed the production and business plan targets. Specifically, purchased coal reached 1.772 million tons, equal to 70% of the annual plan; consumed coal reached 1.937 million tons, equal to 80% of the plan; revenue reached more than 4, 510 billion VND, equal to 86% of the annual plan.
Meanwhile, Hon Gai Coal Selection Company, formerly Hon Gai Wharf Enterprise, was established on August 20, 1960, with the task of receiving clean coal from mines; managing and exploiting coal warehouses and ports, and organizing coal consumption for production units in the Hon Gai area.
In the first 8 months of 2026, the Company's purchase of coal reached 8 million tons, equal to 69% of the annual plan; coal for screening reached 2.9 million tons, equal to 63% of the plan; clean coal production reached 2.8 million tons, equal to 64% of the plan; revenue reached 15,826 billion VND, equal to 73.9% of the annual plan.
Implementing TKV's direction on restructuring and merging Quang Ninh Coal Processing Company into Hon Gai Coal Selection Company, the two companies are focusing on leading and directing tasks according to schedule, while ensuring stability of workers' ideology and production and business activities.
According to the plan, the handover is expected to be carried out on September 30, 2026. Hon Gai Coal Selection Company will organize operation immediately after the merger, in order not to interrupt production activities.
Hon Gai Coal Selection Company - Vinacomin has established a Receiving Council and 6 working groups to implement related tasks. The unit also developed a production organization structure plan after the merger in the direction of maintaining the existing model with 10 departments and 6 workshops, without generating additional focal points.
Regarding labor, the Company is developing a plan to receive and arrange 131 workers of Quang Ninh Coal Processing Company as of October 1, 2026.
After the merger, the total number of employees of Hon Gai Coal Selection Company is expected to increase from 1,183 to 1,314 people.
Before the merger of Quang Ninh Coal Processing Company into Hon Gai Coal Selection Company, TKV merged a number of member companies in Quang Ninh.
Including the merger of Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company and Tay Nam Da Mai Coal Joint Stock Company into Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company; the merger of Deo Nai Coal Joint Stock Company and Coc Sau Coal Joint Stock Company into Deo Nai - Coc Sau Coal Joint Stock Company.
