HCMC discovers warehouse containing large quantity of helmets of unknown origin

On November 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department informed that it had inspected a warehouse in Binh Tan ward and discovered thousands of helmets without invoices.

Through the management of the area, Market Management Team No. 11 discovered a warehouse in Binh Tan ward containing helmets for motorcyclists but without CR compliance stamps, not ensuring quality according to regulations, posing a potential risk to the safety of users.

The authorities inspected the above warehouse and discovered that there were 5,016 helmets containing and trading without invoices or documents proving their legality; no trademark, no product label, no indication of origin; no CR compliance label and no accompanying quality declaration document.

The goods included 3,702 half-headed sunglasses and 1,314 half-headed sunglasses without sunglasses. The total value according to the listed price is more than 250 million VND.

Market Management Team No. 11 has temporarily detained all violating goods, proposed handling related administrative violations and applied measures to handle the exhibits according to regulations.
