In the context of businesses facing the challenge of climate change, Vicostone identifies sustainable development as an inevitable path. The company not only builds a systematic sustainable development strategy, but also implements the strategy through specific actions in production and social responsibility. Thanks to that, Vicostone maintains stable growth, is present in more than 50 countries, conquers demanding markets such as Europe, the US, Japan, and reaches the global top 3 in artificial stone production.
Accompanying the government towards the Net Zero 2050 goal, Vicostone continues to implement the sustainable development strategy in 3 aspects E-S-G, focusing on the main areas including: "Value chain management"; "Effective use of natural resources and increased use of green energy"; "Increasing recycling and reducing emissions" as well as "Joining hands for the community" activities.

Contribute to creating a global green value chain
To cope with climate change, the construction materials industry needs to create green products from greener raw materials, while ensuring quality and benefits for the community.
Since its establishment, Vicostone has pioneered in investing in the world's most advanced technology transferred from Breton (Italy) with a hot curing process at 125°C to completely eliminate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during the production process, ensuring that the product meets the highest European safety standards.
Advanced technology and the innovation of the engineering team help the production process of VICOSTONE® stone to be completely closed and environmentally friendly. There is no high temperature sintering step, so it is energy-saving. There are no emissions from the curing process and no residual volatile compounds like other tiling materials produced by conventional technology. Therefore, VICOSTONE® products eliminate most volatile organic compounds (VOCs < 6 ppm).
Regarding raw materials, Vicostone implements a strategy of localizing raw materials to reduce its “carbon footprint”. The company focuses on using domestically available raw materials to produce materials for artificial stone production, thereby reducing the need for importing and exploiting resources, while reducing emissions from transportation. Vicostone also applies advanced technology in the production of raw materials, saving energy and reducing emissions.
Unsaturated polyester resin and Cristobalite (a product of deep processing from sand) are produced by Vicostone with exclusive technology, bringing many outstanding advantages and creating competitive advantages in the international market. Cristobalite produced by Vicostone not only meets internal needs but is also exported to many countries, contributing to the "greening" of the global engineered quartz stone industry.
With the combination of technology, materials and know-how of the Company and its parent group Phenikaa, VICOSTONE® products meet international standards of quality and health safety, achieving leading certificates such as Declare, NSF, Green Guard, Microbial Resistant. In particular, EPD and HPD certificates facilitate Vicostone to participate in green projects according to LEED standards, proposed by the USGBC of the United States.

Not stopping there, Vicostone always strives to research, improve and develop green products that are increasingly environmentally friendly. Vicostone is the first company in the world to commercialize the 5mm VICOSTONE® Ultrathin ultra-thin quartz surface product, which has the same quality as traditional 2-3cm thick surfaces, but saves 2-3 times more materials and energy in production, circulation and installation.

Efficient use of natural resources & increased use of green energy
Vicostone, a sustainable development brand associated with environmental responsibility, not only complies with international standards such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, SA8000:2014 but also continuously improves production processes to reduce environmental impact and enhance business efficiency.
At its factories, Vicostone has implemented energy-saving solutions such as replacing halogen lamps with LEDs, installing inverters for pumping systems, and renovating mold drying and cooling systems. The company also uses renewable energy through solar power systems, reducing emissions by more than 200 tons of CO2 per year.
In addition, Vicostone uses water economically and sustainably with a modern water treatment system, collecting wastewater and reusing 100% of the circulating wastewater. The company also optimizes the transportation process and applies a flexible working policy to save energy.
Increase recycling and reduce emissions
Vicostone pays special attention to waste management, commits to fully complying with environmental regulations, reducing energy consumption, using resources efficiently and promoting the application of circular economic models, making efforts to research and convert waste into resources.
The company has applied energy management measures and regular equipment maintenance to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and encouraged energy-saving initiatives through the Kaizen-5S program. Vicostone has also invested in modern exhaust gas and dust treatment systems, ensuring labor safety standards, and enhancing employee training on environmental protection.
Using recycled materials is also one of the activities in Vicostone's sustainable development strategy. Up to now, nearly 33% of VICOSTONE® stone products contain recycled materials, accounting for more than 15% of annual revenue. This is also considered a step forward for VICOSTONE® on the green journey with environmentally friendly products.
Working together for community sustainability
Sustainable development can only be achieved when all sectors of society cooperate and commit. Therefore, Vicostone has actively participated in green production organizations in Vietnam and internationally, such as the Association of Artificial Stone Manufacturers (A.St.A) and the Green Building Council. Vicostone has also continuously appeared in rankings on corporate governance and sustainable development, such as Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises (Top 50 CSA), National Brand for 4 consecutive terms, etc.
Every year, Vicostone and Phenikaa Group spend tens of billions of VND on social activities to spread humanistic values through meaningful community activities.
After more than 2 decades of ups and downs in the journey of sustainable development, at the age of 22, Vicostone is ready to take on a new journey, continuing to contribute to changing living spaces that inspire creativity and are full of art around the world, as well as enhancing the position of a sustainable, pioneering, and creative Vietnamese brand.
