Cirium is the world's leading aviation data analysis and provision organization. This achievement strengthens Vietjet's position in the group of airlines operating effectively and sustainably in the region.

The results were determined using Cirium's EmeraldSky method, using the main index CO2/ASK (Available Seat Kilometer) - a standard measure reflecting the amount of CO2 emissions per seat supplied per km flight. According to the report, Vietjet has an emission level of 64.5 grams of CO2/ASK, lower than Singapore Airlines (66.7 grams) and Lion Air (67.1 grams) in the same Southeast Asian regional ranking.
The ranking compares the emissions on flights that take place entirely in Southeast Asia, where the characteristics of short and medium routes make fuel optimization more challenging. In similar operating conditions, Vietjet maintaining the lowest emissions level shows the airline's ability to optimize operations throughout the operating chain, from aircraft configuration, flight network organization to load management.

The new generation fleet is an important platform to help Vietjet maintain low emissions. The airline currently operates mainly Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, including "NEO" versions that save about 15–20% of fuel compared to the previous generation. With the average age of the fleet being among the youngest in the region, Vietjet significantly optimizes fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per flight. In parallel with fleet investment, the airline also promotes the application of technology in operation, from flight data analysis platforms such as SkyBreathe to fuel optimization cooperation programs such as SFCO2, thereby improving operating efficiency throughout the system.

Previously, Vietjet was honored by AirlineRatings in the Top 7 Sustainable Global Airlines in 2025 thanks to its outstanding efforts in reducing emissions, using fuel efficiently and developing green aviation. The airline is also recognized for its ESG (environment, society and governance) achievements in markets such as Taiwan (China).
Flight Emissions Review is an annual ranking by Cirium, independently evaluating the 100 largest airlines in the world based on actual operating data, allowing comparison of emissions levels between airlines by operating scale and geographical area, thereby providing a transparent benchmark for the industry.
