The event took place at the Loi Bourget Paris Air Show (Paris Airshow) 2025, contributing to promoting economic cooperation turnover between Vietnam - France and Europe, while marking a new development phase of Vietjet towards a multinational airline group.

The ordering continues the agreement to buy 20 new A330neo aircraft last month, bringing the total number of wide-body aircraft to 14, allowing the airline to increase flights on high-demand routes across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as launch new long-haul flights to Europe in the future.

Vietjet's Chairwoman, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, said: "I have a dream and am ready to act to contribute to turning Vietnam into a regional aviation hub in passenger transportation, technical services, logistics, training and research, global supply chain, aviation infrastructure... and we will certainly continue to develop a strong airline fleet. Today's agreement with Airbus is not only a commercial contract but a milestone opening a new journey for Vietjet: the journey to reach out to the world, forming new growth poles, the journey of connection, towards a sustainable development of the aviation ecosystem and the desire to conquer.
Mr. Benoît de Saint-Exupery, Senior Vice President of Commercial Aircraft Business at Airbus, said: Our latest deal with Vietjet comes just a few weeks after the airline has just placed an additional order for a wide-body A330neo. The A321neo and A330neo aircraft will be the perfect platform for Vietjet to continue expanding its range of operations, more effectively meeting the needs of the entire flight network of the airline. In addition, the airline will also benefit from the high synchronization of techniques, which is only available in the latest generation of Airbus aircraft.
The A321neo is the largest version of Airbus' best-selling A320neo, with outstanding range and performance. Combining a new-generation engine and Sharklets wingers, the A321neo reduces noise by 50%, saves more than 20% of fuel and reduces CO2 emissions, while maximizing the comfort of passengers in the widest cabin of this aircraft line.
Like all currently produced aircraft, the A321neo can operate with up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and the goal is to increase the ability to use SAF to 100% by 2030.
According to the ESG Sustainable Development Report 2024, the amount of CO2 released into the environment per Vietjet passenger is the lowest in the world.
Vietjet currently operates a fleet of more than 120 new-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft, and has ordered more than 400 aircraft. With the number of passengers continuously growing every year, Vietjet is actively expanding its flight network over the continents, developing a new and modern fleet with Airbus Group strategic partner in the coming time.
