Commending the Medal of bravery to the heroes of flooded areas

Quang Binh - Mr. Cao Van Cuong bravely saved people in the flood, and was posthumously awarded the President for his bravery in remembering himself.

On June 10, in Mai Hoa commune (Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province), the leaders of the District People's Committee awarded the "Mortage Medal" of the President to the family of Mr. Cao Van Cuong, former member of the Farmers' Association of Bac Hoa village.

Mr. Cao Van Cuong was posthumously awarded this noble title for his brave act of saving people during the fierce flood in November 2024. On the afternoon of November 5, 2024, when heavy rain from upstream caused flooding in many places in Tuyen Hoa district, Mr. Cuong discovered a child swept away by water.

Without hesitation about the danger, Mr. Cuong rushed into the fierce floodwaters to save the child. After saving the child safely, Mr. Cuong was exhausted and swept away by the water. It was not until the morning of November 6, 2024 that his body was found by the people and authorities.

Mr. Cao Van Cuong's act of saving people left a deep impression on the people and authorities at all levels. His example is a shining symbol of courage and compassion for others in difficult and dangerous circumstances.

On April 11, 2025, President Luong Cuong signed a decision to posthumously award the "Mortage Medal" to Mr. Cao Van Cuong, affirming the respect and recognition of the Party, State and people for his noble actions.
