This order continues the contract signed at the Singapore Aviation Exhibition 2024, bringing the total number of Trent 3000 engines that Vietjet has set to 80. The order was announced by Airbus last May.
In addition, Vietjet continues to choose TotalCare® engine maintenance service, helping to optimize performance, prolonging the engine's operation cycle.
Speaking about this important event, Mr. Rob Watson, Chairman of Rolls-Royce Civil Aviation, emphasized: Today's commitment to ordering 40 more Trent 7,000 engines shows the airline's confidence in the combination of the Trent 7,000 engine and the A330neo.
The outstanding flexibility of this aircraft and engine combination allows airlines to serve many different markets and optimize the adaptability of the fleet. Our £1 billion investment in on- wing time for the Trent engine helps upgrade the Trent 3000 engine, in some cases, it can triple the continuous operation time.

Developed specifically for the A330neo line, the Trent 7,000 is Rolls-Royce's latest generation of advanced engines, integrating many outstanding improvements in fuel efficiency, noise and durability. To date, this engine line has accumulated more than 3 million flight hours with excellent performance.
TotalCare is a high-end engine service designed by Rolls-Royce with maintenance costs and operating time. This service package is supported by Rolls-Royce's modern engine monitoring system, helping to increase operational readiness, reliability and operational efficiency for the airline.
Vietjet is operating more than 130 new-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft and has ordered more than 400 aircraft. This fleet serves Vietjet's plan to expand its flight network across the Asia-Pacific region, and new long-haul flights to Europe and the US in the near future.
