On August 28, in Yen Truong village, Thanh Yen commune, Dien Bien province, the groundbreaking ceremony of the social housing project with a total investment of more than 301 billion VND will take place.
The project is expected to provide 280 houses, contributing to supplementing the supply for low-income people in the area. This is the 2nd social housing project approved in the locality.

Notably, also in Yen Truong village, an industrial cluster project with a scale of nearly 30ha is being proposed for investment, opening up more expectations for new economic development momentum for Thanh Yen commune.
According to the notice of Thanh Yen Commune People's Committee, the locality has received a document from Duyen Hung Co., Ltd. of Dien Bien province and a dossier requesting to be the investor for the construction of technical infrastructure of Thanh Yen 2 Industrial Cluster.
According to the proposed dossier, Thanh Yen 2 Industrial Cluster has an area of about 29.8ha.
The land area is bordered to the North by the Dien Bien Provincial Agricultural Extension - Seed and Animal Center; to the South by agricultural land and Thanh Yen Commune Inter-level Primary and Secondary Boarding School; to the East by National Highway 12 and to the West by agricultural land.
The location adjacent to National Highway 12 is considered a significant advantage, creating conditions for traffic connection, goods transportation and attracting businesses if the project is implemented.

Talking to PV, Mr. Nguyen Gia Tuan - Vice Chairman of Thanh Yen Commune People's Committee - said that after receiving the dossier from the enterprise, the commune is taking the next steps to report to competent authorities in accordance with regulations.
Thanh Yen was established on the basis of merging 3 communes Thanh Yen, Noong Luong and Pa Thom, with a natural area of about 13,009ha, located in the Southwest of Dien Bien province, about 14km from the provincial administrative center.
The western part of the commune borders the Lao PDR, while the remaining directions connect with many areas of the province.
With a favorable geographical location, large land fund, agricultural advantages and border area, Thanh Yen has a lot of room for economic development.

In which, commodity agriculture, agricultural product processing, industry, trade - services and border economy are considered potential sectors.
If Thanh Yen 2 Industrial Cluster is implemented, the project will not only create more production space but may also lead to commercial and service activities, creating jobs and increasing people's income.
Along with the social housing projects being implemented, the formation of more production and industrial projects will create a premise for Thanh Yen to gradually form a diverse economic ecosystem, effectively exploit existing advantages and possibly become one of the areas with new growth momentum of Dien Bien province.
